Turn your existing marine generator into an intelligent part of the yacht's energy system.

On many yachts, the generator is still operated as a standalone system. The crew monitors the batteries, decides when charging is required, starts the generator manually, and later has to remember to stop it again.

Smarter.Yachts connects to the start and stop controls of supported marine generators, including Cummins Onan, Fisher Panda, Mase and GENSET. Live battery information can be supplied either by an existing Victron Cerbo GX or by Smarter.Yachts Dash using data available on the yacht's NMEA 2000 network.

With Smarter.Yachts Dash, Generator Autostart can therefore operate without a Victron Cerbo GX, provided the required battery State of Charge and/or voltage data is available on NMEA 2000.

Generator Autostart can react automatically to the condition of the battery bank. Configurable thresholds define when the generator should start — for example when State of Charge falls below a selected level or when battery voltage drops below the configured limit — and when it should stop again after the batteries have recovered.

For charging strategies that require more than simply reaching 100% State of Charge, the generator can continue running for a configurable period after 100% is reached. This provides additional time for absorption or float charging before the generator is stopped automatically.

The result is a flexible integration of generator control and battery monitoring: Smarter.Yachts can use either Victron Cerbo GX data or NMEA 2000 data supplied through Smarter.Yachts Dash.
