NODE V2 DOCUMENTATION

Configuration Reference Manual

Field descriptions sourced from the Node V2 firmware configuration help.

Introduction

This configuration reference is valid for Smarter.Yachts Node V2 firmware version 2.3.0, build 01684.

This reference documents the Node V2 config.txt settings as described in the firmware Config Help. The bold field name matches the Config Editor GUI; the smaller code label shows the internal configuration variable. Each setting is stored as KEY=VALUE. Mode-specific settings apply only to the selected operation mode. Examples are illustrative; the Node V2 Config Editor validates accepted values and ranges. The Default column shows values in the firmware-generated configuration template; these can differ from runtime initialization and invalid-value fallbacks. Such fallbacks are stated separately. Editor-only controls are marked explicitly. Allowed values include the exact Config Editor choices and firmware constraints. Differences between editor choices and configuration-file validation are stated explicitly. Text-length checks in the firmware count UTF-8 bytes. For enumerated fields, the permitted stored values are paired with the exact labels shown in the Config Editor.

Use the navigation links to jump to a section. Choose Download PDF for a ready-to-print copy with the Smarter.Yachts logo, publication date, and page numbers on every page. Choose Print to open the PDF in your browser, then use the PDF viewer’s print control.

OPMODES — Quick Access

Select an operation mode in the Node V2 Config Editor. The options below are documented by configuration group.

General & UI

Configure the Node identity, display appearance, and general operating behavior. These settings determine how Node V2 is identified in the app and how routine system functions, such as scheduled reboots, behave.

App Icon
APPICON
Type: Enum
Selects the icon displayed for this Node in the Smarter.Yachts App. Use an available icon resource that clearly identifies the controlled equipment. The editor offers the listed resources. The firmware validates the stored resource name as 1–48 bytes and truncates longer names; it does not restrict APPICON to this dropdown domain.

Periodic reboot (periodicity in days, every day)
AUTOREBOOT
Type: Enum
Automatic reboot interval in hours. When the configured interval has elapsed, Node V2 checks whether restarting is safe. Any energized relay blocks an automatic restart, including a Maintained (MA) switch that is ON. The reboot remains postponed for as long as a blocker is active, without a maximum deferral time. SWxSTARTUPACTION settings such as ON or LAST do not override this protection. Active directional commands, timers, locally controlled generator operation, SD formatting, file uploads, repository downloads and direct OTA updates also block automatic restarts. This protection does not prevent a manual reset; after a restart, relays are initially OFF and supported switches follow their configured startup action. Editor/firmware discrepancy: the editor stores 0 for Never, but the firmware domain accepts -1 instead. A stored 0 falls back to 168 hours. Other listed values are accepted by both.

HTTP URL used to contact slave Node 4. Format validation applies in the Config Editor when Multi Device Mode and this slave are enabled. An invalid URL disables this slave when the firmware loads the configuration. The destination must also be reachable from the primary Node; URL-format validation does not test connectivity.

Allowed values / range
HTTP host-only URL: http://hostname or http://IPv4. HTTPS is not accepted. No path or trailing slash, port, query string, fragment, or credentials. Hostnames use letters, digits, hyphens, and dots; firmware rejects consecutive dots and a leading or trailing dot or hyphen. Use a lowercase http:// scheme.
